In previous fashion posts, I have focused more so on tips and information for the female persuasion, but I do have male readers and this blog is for everyone so I definitely wanted to touch bases with the men and provide input and direction wherever possible. I have always loved men's fashion. There is something so special about tailored suits, bow ties, cargo pants, fitted jeans, etc. It used to be that men took the backseat when it came to fashion, but now men's fashion is much more than lids (fitted caps) and kicks (tennis shoes). Fashionistos (male fashionistas) are showing out and incorporating more accessories, like intricate timepieces (not the iced out watches), exploring new and exciting color palettes, and rocking bow ties, fedoras, cardigans, etc. to spice up their looks.
There have been many transitions in men's fashion in recent years from urban gear to button ups, to skater chic, but the one common denominator is FITTED CLOTHING. Long gone are the days where men with a 34" or 36" inch waist wore size 40 or 42 jeans. The big bulky tees that reach down to the knees have been replaced with fitted v-neck or crew neck tees. I know men are still sagging at alarming rates, but the distinguished gentlemen knows that no one wants to see his behind poking out of white boxer briefs. *gag*
The reality is, men are not the only ones who love to see the shape of the opposite sex. Women like to see biceps and triceps bulging, well defined calves, stomach, and dare I say it, ass! lol So men now need to jump on the bandwagon and drop the old baggy clothes and show off the shapes that they were blessed with. If you have a nice button up that is XXL...please throw that ish in the trash or give it to the Goodwill so the 300 lb. man that actually needs it can wear it. Even if you are not in the best shape, your shape is still better than a box, which is how most men look these days because their clothes are not tailored to their shape.
Men must accentuate the positive and eliminate the negative, just as women must do to get the most mileage out of their looks. I know you men who are really a size large that are so stuck on your XXL tees and baggy pants, but the time has come to let go of the baggy/immature look. I have provided some fashion pictorials below to give you an idea of how to upgrade your wardrobe and pull this look off...check it out:

My questions for the fellas:
Are you stuck on your baggy look?
Do you feel comfortable wearing fitted clothing?
Have you transitioned from the baggy look to the fitted look recently? If so, have you received more positive feedback for doing so?
My questions for the ladies:
Do you like the looks in the pictorial above?
Do you wish you man wore more fitted clothing?
Is it hard to get your man to put down the baggy clothes and try new looks?
