Cornerstone, in conjunction with Jose Cuervo Platino, presented Rico Love (CEO of Division1) and his artist, Young Chris (Division1/Universal Motown artist, formerly of the Young Gunz) at Skybar @Mondrian Hotel on Sunset Blvd. in Beverly Hills, Hollywood adjacent. The air was breezy and the swag was thick poolside as the infamous bar hosted the likes of hipsters and music and entertainment execs alike. Private guests sipped delicious and uniquely featured cocktails with wicked names like Young Mochristo and Rico Love and took in the sunny, yet breezy L.A. weather. Miami’s own, DJ Effect kept the energy going as he mixed popular Young Gunz tracks and Roc-a-fella guest features that Young Chris is known for, just in case you forgot. I see you Chris! The atmosphere was mellow and cool, something like the man of the hour.
Rico Love, songwriter/producer most recently known for tracks with Diddy-Dirty Money’s Hello Good Morning and Usher’s There Goes My Baby, and also for his Division1 imprint, reintroduced his artist Young Chris to the Hollywood crowd as DJ Effect spinned new tracks like Philly Shit (a personal fav) and Lay In My Bed featuring Bobby Valentino. The vibe of the music was perfect for the beautiful, swanky vibe and the gratis cocktails courtesy of Jose Cuervo’s new liquor Platino didn’t hurt.
Celebrities in the spot included: Raheem Devaughn, comedian Chuck Nice, Yelawolf of Shady Records, Fefe Dobson, and newcomer and Jive recording artist Jacob Latimore.
